Over 10 years of international expertise in integrating automation technology into new and existing plants.
Specialized in Siemens PLC systems, I support projects from concept through final customer acceptance. My strength: on-time, precise commissioning of complex production lines – worldwide and across industries. With solid training from electronics technician through Bachelor to Master in Automation Engineering and nine years of practical experience at Köhl Maschinenbau AG, I bring deep technical know-how and international project experience. Two core areas today: commissioning of new production lines (preferred Saar-Lor-Lux region, available worldwide) and retrofit of existing controllers – migration of S5 and S7-Classic to S7-1200/1500 with TIA Portal, HMI retrofit to WinCC Unified, plus reverse engineering when only an online snapshot without symbols remains. AI workflows have been an integral part of my engineering work for nearly a year – including TIA Openness for automated workflows and AI-assisted creation of PLC programs and WinCC Unified panels. This knowledge is also offered as AI consulting for plant operators and integrators.
What Excites Me About Automation Projects
I started as an electronics technician, then studied electrical engineering and automation, and spent nine years leading international projects at Köhl Maschinenbau. What always fascinated me: The moment when a system runs for the first time – and everything works. When mechanics, electrics, and software interact perfectly, and individual components become a functioning production line.
Today, I help companies achieve exactly this moment: Reliable, on schedule, and without unpleasant surprises. Whether PLC programming, safety concepts, or worldwide commissioning – I deliver solutions that perform in operation. I focus on structured programming, complete documentation, and transparent communication with all project stakeholders.
My vision? Combining classical automation with edge technology and AI – for smarter, more efficient production facilities. That's why I continuously expand my portfolio with modern software development using Python and TypeScript, container technologies, and AI-powered development tools.
